The following photographs come from different homesteads all of which come from Putnam County Florida. These are broken down and categorized by site number. I have on file latitude and longitude co-ordinates along with detailed descriptions of the sites area and artifacts recovered.



This site covers the old Welaka Hotel located in Welaka Heights, this old place was built during the 1870's. The building was a magnificant structure, but fell to decay and ruin and was eventually torn down sometime in the 1960's. Click on the two hotel buttons for a pop-up window that shows what the hotel looked like. Look at the pictures carefully, notice the 4 chimney stacks, its the same place just years apart.

These came from Site DFLPUT013 near Lake Como Florida built somewhere between 1860-1880.

These artifacts come from the famous Hancock family farm in Putnam County. Dating back to the 1880's. Labled Site DFLPUT014.

These artifacts come from "Granny's Place", Noah Hancock's mother, and dates from the 1860's. Labled Site DFLPUT015.

These artifacts come from another yankee homestead near Lake Como and also date from the late 1860's. Labled Site DFLPUT018.

These artifacts come from a very old homestead near Satsuma, dating from the early 1860's. Labled Site DFLPUT021.
